English with Business is a unique study programme that opens the door to success in the world of international business for students. Business English is a program that combines the study of English with the essential aspects of business, offering students key skills needed to succeed in an international business environment.
ABOUT THE BACHELOR STUDY PROGRAMME ENGLISH WITH BUSINESS
This study programme aims to prepare students for work in corporations, institutions, governmental and non-governmental organizations and in state bodies in jobs that require the use of three languages (English, German and possibly French), while several business related courses are included:
- English language: four compulsory and two elective professional courses
- German language: two elective courses in Business German
- French language (entirely elective): two elective courses in Business French
Also, students can choose up to six courses (out of 23 offered) of the BAS Digital Business and Marketing study programme, with the aim of bringing students closer to the profession in which they will work and to prepare them for teaching foreign languages in professional courses.

Through studies of English language in business, a comprehensive understanding of the English language in its linguistic, literary and cultural aspects is achieved. Through a curriculum that includes linguistics, literature, translation and digital business, students develop a wide range of skills that are in demand in various sectors such as education, media, diplomacy and business management. Through elective courses, students acquire qualifications necessary for intercultural understanding such as French and German and for various jobs in the field of digital business and marketing that necessarily integrate knowledge of the English language.

OBJECTIVES OF THE BAS ENGLISH WITH BUSINESS STUDY PROGRAMME:
- Achieving competencies and academic skills as well as methods for their acquisition, i.e, learning with modern teaching methods and various teaching technologies that contribute to the development of specific skills necessary for effective acquisition of knowledge and skills in English;
- Possessing grammatical accuracy, a wide vocabulary and expertise in properly expressing research and analytical ideas in English;

The English with Business Study Programme opens doors to a wide range of careers in international companies, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, etc. Graduates can expect positions such as international relations managers, corporate communication specialists, market analysts, and the like.
Students who graduate from bachelor academic studies in English wth business is qualified to work as:

Translator for English, with special emphasis on French and German. They can also work as a digital marketing expert or digital advertising specialist.

Project manager or product manager in the field of digital business and as a specialist in human resource management with a focus on digital companies.

Analyst or market researcher with special emphasis on international business and consultant for innovation and entrepreneurship in the digital sector.

The purpose of the study program of basic academic studies English in Business is to create experts who are able to apply their knowledge and skills in various fields, from education and media to the business sector and diplomacy, and equips students as globally oriented individuals ready to actively participate in the modern society and the labor market.

The study program contains 41 courses, out of which 33 are compulsory courses and 27 elective courses, out of which students choose eight.
- A student can choose eight French elective courses (with two courses of French in Business)
- • Instead of French, students can choose four courses from the BAS Digital Business and Marketing (with the aim of getting to know the profession and business issues), up to 6 English courses (4 compulsory and 2 elective) and up to 2 German courses. Also, the student has the option to choose 2 courses from Rhetoric and Public Speaking and Audio-visual translation in English.

A1SA1 Modern English 1
The main objective of the course is the improvement of all four language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking, as well as the integration of all language skills at the upper secondary level (B2.1). Also, the objective of the course is to strengthen vocabulary, distinguish between different types of texts and statements, correct application of grammatical rules in the use of language, recognition of types of texts and statements, familiarization with different registers, styles and levels of formality, as well as fluency in speech.
A1O01 Introduction to Language Studies
The objective of the course is to master the basic terms in the field of linguistics. Getting to know the unique properties of natural languages and their functions. Understanding language and communication in a cultural context (multilingualism). Understanding language stratification. Mastering the basics of language structure analysis at various levels of language (phonetic, phonological, morphological, syntactic, lexicological and semantic), contrasting English with the Serbian language in the given domains with the help of the results of contrastive language studies, with the ultimate goal of preparing for subsequent English linguistics courses.
A1KK1 English Literature
The course aims to provide students with an overview of the characteristics of English literature that includes the historical and cultural context up to the 18th century. The course should provide students with an overview of the basic characteristics of English literature and culture, considered within the aforementioned historical context.

The objective of this course is to familiarize students with the basics and logic of the German language, develop basic communicative skills and gain self-confidence in the use of the German language. The most important goal is motivation for learning the German language and understanding German culture and society, as well as preparation for the next level of knowledge.

The objective of the course is: understanding the basic principles of computer systems and information technologies; development of skills in the efficient use of computers and software tools; familiarization with the basic concepts of Internet technologies and digital security; preparing students for the use of information technologies in further academic and professional work.

The main objective of the course is the improvement of all four language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking, as well as the integration of all language skills at the upper secondary level (B2.2). Also, the objective of the course is to strengthen vocabulary, analyze different types of texts and statements, correctly apply grammatical rules in the use of language, recognize types of texts and statements, familiarization with different registers, styles and levels of formality, as well as fluency in speech in accordance with the Common European Framework for target level languages.

The objective of the course is to enable students to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and improve their own pronunciation; to be able to understand native speakers from different speaking areas.
A1KK2 Anglo-American literature 1
Students are introduced to basic themes and trends in American literature, as well as social situations connected with basic themes and trends in American literature from the period of colonization to 1945; introducing students to the ideological background of literary and other texts belonging to the era of romanticism, realism and modernism in the United States of America. It enables the development of students’ ability to present the acquired knowledge in a structured and coherent manner in written form.

The objective is to continue to develop basic language skills, including speaking, listening, reading and writing in German. Students will be introduced to new vocabulary, phrases and grammatical concepts that are more complex compared to the previous level. The goal is to motivate students to feel more confident in using the German language in different situations. This includes talking about everyday topics, asking questions, expressing your own opinions and understanding basic German texts. Students will become familiar with the basic elements of German culture, customs and social norms in order to better understand the context in which the language is used. This can include practical exercises, such as role-playing, discussions about cultural differences and interpretation of simple texts about German culture.
A1O03 Serbian language
The objective of the course is to revise and expand the knowledge of the spelling of the Serbian language in contrast with English. Understanding the importance of using different functional styles of the Serbian literary language in different circumstances and with different purposes (conversational, scientific, literary, artistic, journalistic and administrative). The objective is for students to master the spelling norms of the Serbian literary language as a whole.

The objective is to acquire basic knowledge about the course, important concepts and terms in morphology. Acquaintance of students with basic theoretical and methodological approaches in linguistic analysis at morphological level. The objective of the course is to get acquainted with writers and literary texts of contemporary American literature; analyzing contemporary American literature in a broader cultural, social and historical context.

Students will be introduced to the basic concepts associated with literature in English that originates from different parts of the world, outside Great Britain and the United States of America. The goal is to enable students to read, understand and interpret literary texts in English, as well as to apply their knowledge of Anglophone literature by considering their place in society and culture on a global level.

The objective of the course is to provide students with a usable knowledge of the main theories and research findings in the field of consumer behaviour. The goal of the course is not for students to learn the material, but to connect it as a whole and apply it. In this sense, special attention is paid to the application of acquired knowledge in various marketing problems. Although the course material provides students with tactical usability, it also provides students with a broad understanding of consumers from a strategic standpoint.

The objective of the course is to instruct the student on how the digital economy affects markets and society. We learn about how the internet, mobile communications, the sharing economy, social media and cryptocurrencies are impacting global business. The course has two main parts: 1) Basic theory in the digital economy, including: network effects, value creation models, digital business models and market modeling. 2) How the digital economy affects privacy, regulation and strategy.
MG240 Fundamentals of financial management
The objective of the course is to enable students to understand the application of the present value model of the firm, the application of homogeneous measures, the analysis of loans, rentals, financial investments and yield curves. In this way, this course completes the financial knowledge that the student acquired in the courses MG315 Introduction to Microeconomics and MG210 Managerial Accounting, and as a future manager in the field of digital business and marketing, the student acquires in this way, sufficient competence for making decisions that carry certain financial risks MG315 Product management.

Students will learn how to critically evaluate digital discourses by studying theoretical frameworks and real-world examples. The aim of the course is to introduce students ti the basic knowledge of rhetoric as a scientific discipline, with the application of the principles of oratory technique: practice of diction, manner of presentation, exercises to suppress nervousness, preparation of content and taking a stance, harmonizing body language with the manner of presentation, making contact with the audience. Understanding the importance of good preparation for public speaking and the importance of fostering the culture of speaking and reading (character, level of education and upbringing, ability to make quick conclusions, preferences and interests, respect for interlocutors, ethical principle, philosophy of life).

This course provides undergraduate students with knowledge of the concepts of environmental economics, resource economics and circular economy. The application of various concepts, frameworks and mid-level models from microeconomics will be applied to find solutions to environmental problems. In addition to improving understanding of topics in environmental economics, resource economics and circular economy, the goals of this course include improving critical thinking skills and learning how to properly apply knowledge gained from theoretical economics to solving practical problems.

In conditions of high competition, in many industrial sectors, the most important factor of competitive advantage is the quality of employees in the organization. Of particular importance is the recruitment of young talents who are often the carriers of innovation development and become decisive factors in determining the future of the organization. Because of the increasing demand for talent, HR managers are increasingly under pressure to find talent in the labor market.
The objective of the course is to introduce students to the issues of recruiting and hiring talent. The subject has two parts. In the first part, the strategies of recruitment, assessment, engagement and flow of talent are studied. In the second part, online recruitment of talent, application of online system for recruitment and testing of candidates is studied. Students acquire knowledge necessary for defining requirements for the design and development of these online systems, as well as acquiring skills in their use for the purpose of automated talent testing.
